Our simple application process
At Homefront Veterans Living, we've made our application process clear and respectful. We're committed to helping U.S. military veterans find a supportive community and a stable home. Here's what to expect.
Step 1: Apply online
The very first step is to fill out our short application form right here on our website. Share some basic information about yourself, your veteran status, and what you’re looking for in housing. This helps us review your needs and contact you about next steps and availability.
Step 2: Our team connects
Once you apply, our team will review your information to ensure we might be a good fit. We’ll reach out by phone, text, or email to ask a few follow-up questions, explain how our homes work, and discuss your situation and needs in more detail.
Step 3: Move-in & thrive
If it still looks like a good match, we'll schedule a deeper conversation or visit to go over house rules and fees. If both sides agree, we review and sign the agreement, confirm move-in details, and help you get settled into your new Homefront Veterans Living home.
Basic requirements for housing
To apply for housing with Homefront Veterans Living, a person should:
- • Be a U.S. military veteran (proof of service like a DD-214 or VA ID may be requested).
- • Be able to live safely in a shared home with other adults and follow house rules.
- • Be willing to live in a structured environment with expectations for cleanliness, respect, quiet hours, and no smoking inside the home.
- • Have some form of income or a plan to work toward income/benefits so they can consistently pay their program fee or rent.
- • Not be in active crisis that requires a hospital, detox, or a higher level of care (we are housing, not a medical or treatment facility).
Why homefront veterans living?
Veterans who live with Homefront Veterans Living receive several unique benefits that truly make it worth applying. We offer more than just a roof; we provide a foundation for your next chapter.
A community that understands
You’ll get a clean, furnished, stable home instead of a couch, motel, or unsafe room. We offer separate houses for men and women for comfort and security. Most importantly, you live only with other veterans, fostering understanding, camaraderie, and a respectful community that truly "gets" what it means to be a veteran.
Stability and support
Our homes are structured and predictable, with clear house rules about respect, quiet hours, cleanliness, and no violence or illegal activity, ensuring a calm, safe environment. Having a stable address makes it much easier to focus on work, benefits, appointments, and personal goals, giving you the peace of mind to thrive.
